Shilp Guru Award-2006

Application duly filled in the prescribed format are invited from National Awardees, State Awardees and craftspersons of exceptional and
extraordinary skills and having made immense contribution to the handicrafts sector in the past, who are not below the age of 55 years for selection to the Shilp Guru Award-2006.
The application along-with his two passport size photographs and minimum four 10"x8" size photographs of the masterpieces made by him should be deposited in the Office of the concerned AD, M&SEC, Dy. Director, RD&TDCs, Regional Directors, Office of the Developement Commissioner(Handicrafts) latest by 5th November 2006.
The proforma for submitting the application can be had from the Regional Directors/RD&TDCs Asstt. Director (H), M&SECs of the Development Commissioner(Handicrafts); and on website address
http://handicrafts.nic.in.
The selected Shilp Gurus will be given a gold coin, one shawl and one citation. In addition, appropriate financial assistance will be sanctioned to each selected Shilp Guru to innovate and create ten new products of high level of excellence, high aesthetic value and high quality befitting the stature of the Guru. In addition, Shilp Gurus will also be associated in various activities, so that they can get benefit from the various schemes of this office.
