The fair would be hosting about 2000 leading companies who would display more than 1000 product categories ranging from textiles and furnishings to home decor and gift items", said Sudhir Tyagi, chairman, EPCH.
Referring to the skill of craftsmanship Kamal Soni, president, Indian Handicrafts & Gifts Fair Committee, said that the Indian products are primarily handcrafted and the use of machine in production is nominal. The EPCH in collaboration with the ministry of Textiles and Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) is making all possible efforts to improve techniques of production and to develop product base' and design.
According to Navratan Samdria, chairman, India Expo Centre & Mart, the Government has taken an
initiative for involvement of Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode of Build On Operate (BOO) model for
setting up infrastructural facilities of export production. Samdria said, "The quality of handicrafts is the biggest
challenge before the handicraft sector and we are pleased to inform that EPCH has already addressed the issue in totality."
Like the 21 EPCH fairs organised in the past, this one too has loads’ of business opportunities for quality merchandising.
