Latest on Expressway: integrated auto mart, recreation centre

The Noida Authority has invited tenders for cbnstructing a recreation centre and an
Integrated Auto Mart on the 23-km Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.
The design of the recreation centre, which would be spread across 3.5 acres at Sector 93 B, is ready, and is expected to be built at a cost of Rs 50 crore, according to Noida Authority officials. Officials add that the
centre would house several eating joints, amusement parks and multiplexes.
Noida Authority has also flnalised the design for the Integrated Auto Mart along the expressway and has invited
tenders for the project. The Auto Mart will be located at Sector 44.
The mart would be a one stop destination for automobile lover's,said Noida Authority Additional CEO, K Ravindra Naik. Besides bringing all major auto producers under
one roof, the mart would have
convention centres for lectures
and exhibition halls for displaying new models. It would also
be developed as a technology
hub. Workshops on automation technology would be a key
feature there, they added. The
lQ-acre mart would be built at a
cost of Rs 50 crore.
The expressway has been
equipped with WiMax antennae though Internet access has
not been enabled yet. The expressway promises to be a non stop drive from Delhi to
Greater Noida as it will be a signal-free stretch, say officials.
Property prices along the
Noida-Greater Noida Expressway have already hit the roof.
In just two months, HIG flats in
the area have got dearer by
over Rs 4 lakh.
